novelties

My friend is planning a party and asked me to come with her to get some decorations and balloons and such. We headed over to the party store at the mall, and after we bought up all the decorations and stuff we could find, we were on our way out to the car when we came across a new novelty store they opened. We both looked at each other and smiled, we wanted to go in and see what they had in there. So we took a leap and in we went. Well, we went in and not only were there novelties and light up items, but more gag gifts then you could even imagine. It was incredible. We ran around the store like two little kids giggling and laughing as we went from item to item, saying look at this and pull this or OMG you have to check this thing out.

Well, when all was said and done, we didn’t actually buy anything, but we did have a blast playing in that place. I don’t have anything against that kind of stuff, but I am just not quite comfortable with being seen buying stuff in that store. I prefer to do the more intimate, personal shopping online, where I don’t have to look someone in the eye while buying plastic poop or edible underwear. I just find this kind of shopping to be like shopping for all items of an adult nature. I like to look at home from my computer and this way I don’t have to worry about who sees me looking at what and for how long. I hate to be this self conscious, but I can’t help it. I just think that online shopping is the perfect way to buy these items embarrassment free.

As for the party, well I know that it is going to be a blast. After we got done playing around at the mall, we headed to the grocery to pick up the food we needed for the party. I know that we will all have a great time; I just hope that the weather will hold out as we will be having a pool party and I know we could move everyone into the clubhouse, but that would be a real drag. No one likes an indoor pool party. We have checked out the forecast and it looks like it will be a bang up evening!
