Realizing that I needed a way to bring in some extra money this summer, while caring for my mother who has been undergoing cancer treatment, I began to look for a work at home job online. When my mother was diagnosed with her illness, I was mid semester at school and I couldn't be home to take care of her. Thank goodness for my sister who was there to provide her with the love and support that she need through her initial treatments. I promised my mother and my sister, and most importantly myself, that I would spend my summer taking care of her.
I contacted a few companies that offered some fake information about working from home, however, most of them were scales or required some training, and I was really just looking for some brainless work that I could do and pull in some money while caring for Mom. I found companies that offered at home assembly and a lot of sales companies, but I really hate the whole sales thing especially when you can work forever and if you don't get any sales you just don't get paid. I started getting discouraged until a friend of mine from school suggested writing for an online marketing company. I at first didn't really understand, but I knew that writing and creating were two things that I did really excel at. He told me that a search marketing company helps websites to get noticed by the major search engines, and that they have college students who write stories using key words that are supplied by the companies. He said that all you have to do is use your home computer and have access to e-mail and be able to type quickly. I didn't really believe him when he told me about this, but I thought, I could give it a try. He told me that he would send me the information about this company that his friend was typing for and he did. When I contacted them they said they were always looking for new writers and so they hired me. Well, within just a few short weeks I was making some really good money, and the best thing was that when my mom was having a bad day I wouldn't work at all, and when she was sleeping or having a good day, I could work for hours. When I needed to, I could work more and make more money, and when I didn't I could work less. Honestly, this job has been so great I will be continuing it when the semester starts up again, especially since I will be going to school locally so I can help take care of my mother still.
