My boyfriend surprised me this weekend with taking me shopping for some new lingerie. I thought at first he was joking but the next thing I knew we were strolling through Victoria Secret and looking at some really hot stuff. I mean don't get me wrong, there nighties and bras and panties are very tasteful, but I was surprised that he liked all the things that just seemed a little too revealing to me. I think that he was trying to tell me that he would like me to be a little bit more adventurous and sexy for him. Don't get me wrong, we have been together for a while and I don't think there is anything wrong with giving your love life or sex life a little kick now and again. I just was surprised at what he likes to see in the bedroom. For the most part this kind of sexy lingerie I would have never dared to buy if he hadn't put a request in for it. Now at least I know what he likes and I am getting the hint that he is a little kinkier than I would have thought.
In any case, I started telling a friend about this experience and she asked me if I was insulted. I said, "About What?". She said that by taking me shopping he was telling me what to wear. I guess I just don't see it that way. I think that he has every right to communicate to me what he likes and how he likes it. I would only be wearing the stuff to turn him on, and now at least I know what does it for him. I think that shows that we have a good relationship. I think most people don't get it because they don't communicate about what they want. That is probably why so many people are in failing relationships. I think they are afraid to tell their partner what they think and what they like. I am just really glad that I am not in that kind of relationship, that would really stink!
