mdina%20and%20rabaat.jpg

Johnathan Garland, a VCU Anthropology major, is currently studying abroad in Msida, Malta. Here are a few of his beautiful snapshots he's captured.

VCU students can study abroad at the University of Malta through the ISEP program.

Malta is an island in the Mediterranean Sea off the southern tip of Sicily. Send us a message if you'd like more information on studying abroad in Malta.

ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship Program

This Scholarship program supports highly motivated and qualified US undergraduate and graduate students to live and to do research at a Swiss university for 2 - 3 months. It can only go into effect on the basis of an agreement between a Swiss and a US University. ISEP qualifies as such an agreement. There are only 10-14 of these scholarships to be given for all Swiss Universities. More information is provided here.

The Universität Bern can nominate an ISEP student for one of these scholarships if they study one of the following fields during an exchange at Bern:

Climate and Ecology: http://www.nccr-climate.unibe.ch
North-South Development: http://www.nccr-north-south.unibe.ch
International Trade and Rights: www.iew.unibe.ch and www.worldtradeinstitute.ch

If you are a student who is interested in these fields of study and would like to study in Switzerland (some options in English are available), don’t hesitate to apply. The deadline for nominations is April 20; therefore, applications should be submitted to ISEP as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: A placement at Bern in one of these fields of study does not guarantee that a student will receive a ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship.

Please contact us for more information on applying to ISEP if you are interested!

Check Out Our Links on the Right

For those of you who haven't noticed, we have a wonderful selection of links on the right-hand side of the blog. The links that we feature were thoughtfully selected so that you can make the most out of visiting our blog. I would like to point out that this morning, we added a link to Cafe Abroad, a new online community and interactive news magazine for study abroad students. We also have a copy of this magazine in print in the office if you want to take a look. The magazine was started by two recent college grads who were both former study abroad students. Amazing! Take a look at Cafe Abroad today and all of our other great links!
