Imagine Brazil!

Did you know that VCU has an exchange program with USP in Sao Paulo, Brazil? I never imagined I would be here....

but here I am, as the director of education abroad, checking out what's going on and sizing up the place for our exchange students. The verdict so far: otimo! That is Portuguese for great! Sao Paulo is alive with people, culture, shopping, art, and more. The Brazilians are so welcoming and hide their judgements of my dusty Portuguese. Any student who wants to experience one of the most vibrant cities in the world and attend the premier university in Latin America ought to give the USP program a second thought. Tomorrow I am going to check out the language classes and lab, as well as the university campus. By the way, the dollar is worth about 1.80 reais, meaning your money will go almost twice as far. That means you can't let finances hold you back...
