<p>Whether juggling, singing or strumming a guitar, performers roam the streets the world over, braving the elements to bring a smile to your face. Let's see them in action! Participation is open to study abroad students and anyone else who has lived or traveled overseas.</p>

<p>The contest represents an exciting opportunity for your photography to be evaluated by National Geographic photographers and photo editors!</p>

<p>The deadline is *Monday, April 14, 2008*. The first-place winner will receive a $500 travel credit voucher, courtesy of Travelosophy and see his/her photo on the cover of the 2009 Glimpse Calendar. Eleven runners-up will see their photos included in the 2009 Glimpse Calendar. <br />

Interns will participate in various activities that may include hiking, canoeing, museum visits, a trip to Virginia Beach, Bush Gardens, Washington, D.C., and New York.  The interns’ travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for by the Education Abroad Office; however, students will be responsible for most meals and miscellaneous expenses.  Students will earn three internship credits in International Studies, History, or Political Science. <p><u>DiversityAbroad.com Summer Scholarship (sponsored by AIFS)</u></p>

<p>DiversityAbroad.com, in cooperation with AIFS, will award five, $2,000 scholarships for students studying abroad during the summer 2008. Recipients must be a traditionally under-represented minority student and studying abroad on a DiversityAbroad.com Member program (see list of DiversityAbroad.com member organizations here:http://www.diversityabroad.com/dai_members.php)<br />

DiversityAbroad.com Blog Abroad Grant</u></p>

<p>Diversity Abroad has long realized that students have the ability to encourage and inspire other students to go abroad. To help foster peer-to-peer communication and encouragement, DiversityAbroad is offering a grant for traditionally under-represented minority students to share their experiences abroad with the DiversityAbroad.com community.</p>

<p><u>Study Abroad in Turkey African-American Scholarship</u></p>

<p>The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) in cooperation with DiversityAbroad.com are awarding up to 50 grants per year in the amount of $2,000 for full-time African-American undergraduates who have been accepted to a study abroad program in Turkey for a semester or a year.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p>Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization, has over one million members at local rotary clubs all over the world.  To promote service and intercultural understanding, Rotary International has provided over 37,000 scholarships for students studying abroad since 1947.  Students are eligible for one of the 900 scholarships that Rotary International provides each year, covering up to $26,000 of student expenses.  These scholarships are available to graduate and undergraduate students interested in studying Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish.  Awards will cover three to six months of intensive language studies, year-long studies abroad, or two-year degree programs abroad.</p>
