Job Title Intern - Internet Communications - Summer 2009
Location VA - Richmond
Job Summary Communications is foremost in this position, in addition to strong technical skills. This role is responsible for creating and posting content for Dominion's Internet presence including e-business activities. Initiate new content, changes or corrections as necessary. Designs prototypes, visual interfaces, navigation and interaction of web-based applications. Assist clients with development of specifications and provide time estimates on project development. Monitor corporate Internet sites and handle updates, edits, and changes. Work closely with corporate IT department. Work within teams of Corporate Communications, I.T. and business unit sponsors on more complex programming or developmental projects for various Internet sites.

Job Title Intern - Advertising - Summer 2009
Location VA - Richmond
Job Summary Assists in organizing and coordinating various advertising activities, including creative concepting and production of television commercials and print, radio and outdoor advertisements, as well as various public events. Helps facilitate communication among company management, employees, outside ad agencies and market research firms. Supports partnerships with third-party vendors and suppliers. Attends company-sponsored public events as a Dominion representative. Works on projects with employees in other Corporate Communications groups. Works under the direction of the Manager of Advertising.

Study Abroad Scholarships

Each year, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi awards 50 grants of $1000 each to deserving students nationwide.

Who is eligible?

1. The competition is open to all undergraduates in all fields of study.
2. You must be enrolled at an institution that has an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter (VCU has a chapter) and must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
3. You must have earned at least 30 and no more than 90 semester hours of academic credit as of February 11, 2009.
4. You must provide a letter of acceptance to an accredited study abroad program as part of your application.
5. Your study abroad experience must begin between May 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.
6. You must have at least two semesters (or equivalent) remaining in residence at your home institution after completing the study abroad experience.

Wolf Trap Internships for Spring and Summer '09


Wolf Trap’s Internship Program provides project-based training and experience to approximately 40 interns annually. Interns become integral members of the staff working side-by-side with professionals producing, promoting, and administering all aspects of the performing arts.

Spring internships are part time (maximum of 24 hours per week) and 12 weeks in duration. Housing is the responsibility of the student, although guidance in this matter is available. Wolf Trap Interns are required to have a reliable mode of transportation as the Wolf Trap Foundation is not accessible by public transit.
