Matthieu Richard teaches us that happiness is a choice. It is not something that is forced on you when you are exposed to external stimuli – as everyone experiences both positive and negative influences in life. Our interpretation is what truly matters, and that is something we can control.
Matthieu Richard is a Buddhist monk, and therefore goes through the four noble truths about suffering in some depth. A western phrase for these truths is “mind over matter.” You can see negative things as positive if you learn from them and they save you from being in a worse situation in the future. You can interpret positive things as negative if you do not allow yourself to enjoy life as it comes. It is up to you to decide when it comes to your own emotions.

YOU don't need mandated blog entries.
Write what your heart tells you.
Really really.
