From JAMA this week a study of the value of HPV vaccine for those already infected shows that administration of the vaccine does not minimize the disease. The study's conclusion was that In women positive for HPV DNA, HPV-16/18 vaccination does not accelerate clearance of the virus and should not be used to treat prevalent infections.
