Cost-benefit of healthcare in US falls behind leading economic competitors.

An analysis from the Business Round Table found that "the United States is 23 points behind five leading economic competitors: Canada, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and France," all of which "cover all their citizens, and though their systems differ, in each country the government plays a much larger role than in the US." And, when compared with "emerging competitors: China, Brazil, and India," the "cost-benefit disparity is even wider -- 46 points." The report also stated that "other countries spend less on healthcare and their workers are relatively healthier." Comment: I wonder h0w often we have to repeat this mantra before the various disparate members of the medical community see the light and stop using the pejorative term Socialized before fixing our problems.?
