gurdwara :/
well i was at gurdwara, it was kinda downer no one was there. and well at least the kids got to keertan. but the sad part isthat well i got there at 11:30AM and they were still reading jap ji sahib, they aren't even tryin to enough amritvela time any more... but i wonder.. bout the punjabi language and gurdwara
i wonder since Sikhi is about reaching to all types of people, why are we still only using punjabi when the bhai sahibs and gyanis and jathedhaars speak to the sangaat. I mean i think its for the youth, b/c i often hear that bani looses its "zeal" or coolness when translated in to english but i beg to differ, b/c i've heard some veeaakhas in english and they move people to tears. i mean if its for the adults thats sad b/c if you think bout it, if you haven't figured out sikhi by you've hit lets say 40 - 50 i think you are kinda lost. i mean if you can't figure that you aren' supposed to drink and such... than why bother going to sangaat you know eh i dunno i guess thats me ranting buti mean look at the youth, surely if their parents had learned alot from goin to gurdwara, they would of passed it on to their kids....
at the same time if punjabi was key, than the SIkhs in punjab would not be in the state that they are in now... theywould not be alcoholics nor would they take up other types of drugs.... they would all be amritdhaaris, and would act like tru khalsas... just a thought....
