well we just got done with the 3rd usa meeting... i mean sikh association meeting, it went rahter well i guess. only bout 12 pple showed up, but hey i'm not complaining.


The highlight of the meeting would have to be the BYOB!, yea thats rite Bring Your Own Bani, we are gonna have it every Thursday Nite, from 7-8pm, so pple bring in shabads and i'll bring a vaja and a tabla and we can sing some keertan!! and talk bout it, and have made fun!! yeah. so i'm not too sure how pple will react, but we will see....

yo well i just got back from outside.... yea you may be wondeing what this is about. well its a video i shot with what was going on outside... apparently the American' Breat Cancer institute was doing a fair... and somehow these people, came with their signs.... against abortion... it was jus odd, they were a christian group... i know that b/c they had a quote from the Bible on one of their signs.. which said "God hates the hands that sheds the Blood of the Innocent"

so now my question is umm do these protesters eat meat or eggs? what bout the innocent Iraqis? umm does that mean God hate America? or American Soldiers?? i mean its gotta true b/c it was written in the Good Book of Proverbs!

But protest did open my eyes, i find one should not forces/press their views upon others, or those that chose not to look at or ignore the light of knowledge... and as Guru Nanak Dev Ji says in Asa Ki Vaar, "Moorakh Naal Nahee Loogeea" - Dont' argue with Idiots!

oh man i just got hit with a wicked shirt design ha!!, for Bhangra de Kamaee!!

" Phuleeaze, you think by just tying a pugh, not shaving or cutting your hair for 3 weeks, wearing a kara makes you Punjabi?? Ha nah Phuleeze your just a 'wanna'-bi Punjabi! Now step aside, and let real Putt Punjabiya Da show you how its done!!!! Oye Chuk De Phatey" like that would be on the back of the shirt...

Now well here is an interesting thing bout Sikhi and Punjabi... or punjabiya de culture... ok So Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, chose to create the Khalsa on the punjabi holiday of Vaisakhi??? why not a sikh religious day?? also i just realized that when a Sikh, any sikh whether caucasian, african american, european, um other "ethnicites..." , take Amrit, they become Punjabi!! i'm not lying... b/c their birth place is Anandpur Sahib, and their Father is Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a Punjabi, and their Mother is Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, a Punjabi, too. Now isn't that so sweet ;) like whoaaa !! hehe i love causing ripples in the pond... yeeah

also another thing, concerning the politics of India and Mughal Rule... well the one place where the Mughal Rule could not touch or rule over was of the Lands under Guru Gobind Singh Ji, which Punjabi. Sikhs were the only ones that had courage to stand up to the Mughals and had their own autonomy. The Khalsa Raj was not a part of india, well if you think bout it, b/c the Mughals had ruled and conquered all of India for 10 whole Centuries... until someone finally challenged them... and that person was Guru Nanak Dev Ji, but Guru Hargobind Ji raised the Talwaar, Sword, and fought back... thats another interesting thing too... Oh Soorma realize your greatness.

There was yet another sweet fact i wanted to mention, but i forgot...

so here is my buddy, Mr. Puneet Singh @ Venice Beach!!!, its so hott, i mean his Binderanwale Tee. hehe oh man well puneet i hope u are enjoyin' it alot out dher on da West Coast!!! also i hope ur CIVC,treats ya well... take care bud! , well i finished my piece with the katrina part and the iraq part,so now i just have to put em all to get there.... grr so i'll be done with it tomorrow.

well i can't believe 400 people are actually takin' a look at this blog, i dont know what to say.. except... thanks? i reckon. its sweet, anyways let see... in case you all are wondering whats going on with GP, not too much i've been tryin to sleep for the past hour, but atlast no avail, sadly what had happened was, for the past 5 nights i've only got 3-5 hours of sleep a night, in lieu of my early mornign shifts at work. so instead of stayin at the "Art Building" and work on the video of my sculpture, i came home, hoping to snag some extra hours of sleep, but nah....
so i'm up and bloggin' well so far i have no plans for the weekend except for changin the designs for the "T-shirts" by addin' more Khandas to it!! ahh... and well everyone enjoys all 3 design, well they like the khalsa jerzey /a> , and I <3 khalsa design. but some members said that they want to have a khanda here and there.. so we have to redesign it...

any ways i'm free to the nights but i'm workin all the day, the story of my life, nah not really i dont really work at all, i'm rather lazy...

any ways i' may try out for the mTV real world... they are havin'g auditions for it sat 10am-5pm at Tiki Bob's who knows haa

well the BYOB meeting for USA was pretty good turn out, but somehow only 10 - 12 memebers showed up... apparently one reason for the low turn out was b/c there were was a mandatory "Security" floor meeting with the RA's going. i'm not too sure if those meetings are really that "informative", personally speakin' as a guard =)

i think we may have the next sikh club meeting on the 29th of Sept. around 6pm. so its not written in stone its just you know.. hovering around that date.

oh man so i guess i finally met Ms. Himat Kaur, its soo crazy this kaur has mad!! prem. Her story, of how Guru Ji Found her was simply beautiful... we were like whoaaa.... and everyone was amazed that she was wearing a Bana, - A Turban. well i guess she was wearing a female turban. she looked so beautiful in her crown!! yea!! i hope others will also be inspired by her, i know i was ;)

oh also my classes? they are going good. i really like my Intro to Sculpt class, that was fun.. hehe i'm workin on a "political" piece. i dropped my "Race, Religion, & Power" class, i'm sorry Mark, its just too much work. in my other classes...

its odd in my homeland security classes, i think the teacher , actually profiled me... i'm not to sure, but i did raise my concerns against the USA un-Patriot Act , grr he said something like," i didn't mean to say that the Arabs from the UK are from Pakistan... i meant to say the Muslims are" then he looked at me and said " I know you'd know the difference" (in a sarcastic or comical voice, and then he shot me a smile)

so i'm not to sure what to make of it.. its just really odd.

so this is soo cool, like i was talkin' to Dr. Edwards, and well so now the SIkhism class atVCU will be a 400 level class, and Writing Intensive. meaningn you will have to keep a journal, like whoaa i'm so stooked with this, oh Guru Ji Thank you for your Kirpa.. hehe ok well i'll read some more now, well i'll study for real. ok degh tegh fateh

yeah thats right, we are going to have a new requirement for our next meeting.... Yup thats right, the memebers have to BYOB.... you know as in Bring Your Own BANI

so the whole concept of this next meeting will be, that memeber bring a shabad off the internet, from Sikhnet. and we read it in punjabi, then we discuss it...
