As the end of this program drawing near,I will be torn away from America.I still feel a little pity because I haven't seen real poor people here.I just know some information of America,most of which are about the middle or upper class.The American society I know is just a small part.Once I heard of an extreme saying:any society is rich man's paradise,poor man's hell.I am just wondering if it is the same with America.Probably the economic recession has reduced the middle class to the poor.Perhaps,the poor can narrowly stuff their stomach.Maybe they can still live a good life even they are poor or they have no ability to make a living by themselves.To see is to believe.I hope that I can find some answer in New York.

At the beginning of eating American food,not only the disgusting flavor but also being full of fat and calories made me feel awful.No wonder some Americans are suffering from obesity and other illness.The one-off plastic package is a waste of resources and dose harm to the environment.But now I have changed part of my opinion.On the other hand,fastfood can save a lot of time and improve the work efficiency.They don't need to put much energy on food or spend plenty of time on cooking like Chinese.Perhaps if Chinese put the energy we use on cooking on increasing productivity,the result may be different.It is time for most of us to quicken our pace of life.Sacrifice is nessesary or even must sometimes.

Recently, in my blog,so many comments,so much criticism.Perhaps because we all teenagers,full of spirits and energy.We are encouraged to show or put forward our own opinions,but not go to extremes.Today,I read a story written by LiuYong.The story is as follows:One day,I saw many people flying kites on the square.What confused me was that all the people squeezed into a corner,with large space left in the middle.I thought they were stupid.Then I bought a kite and started to fly.However,the direction of the wind changed from time to time,so I had to roll the string up a little and drew back to keep a banlance.At last,my kite flew as high as others,but I found I was also in the corner with other people that I at first laughed at.Sometimes we sneer at others for being foolish or scold the government for incapability.Perhaps what we should really laugh at is our ignorance as a result of never being involved.

As I pointed out in the last blog,it seems that everything in China tends to be Americanised.The educational system is no exception,especially for the higher education.From the classes' pattern,the way we study,library,to how the university is managed,all of these are similar with American.It's wise to draw strong points of others but not copy.There are not only similiraties that we should realise but also differences that we should not ignore.Chinese basic condition or state is different from American.Chinese students and teachers have different characters from American.So we cannot bring in the system completely and without any selection.There exsit some weaknesses in Chinese students' character.But on the other hand,the weaknesses can be changed into advantages if made use of properly.Just as an old saying goes:"all roads lead to Rome."We need to make a change to follow the pace of globalization,but we should also consider if the change is fit for us.So what we need is both borrowing and,what's more,creating.

The United States is a immigration country.For some reason,Africans,Chinese,Spainish and Europeans and so many people from different areas of the world came together here.Culture diversity infused the society with new life.Different kind of cultures hit and integrated here and brought up a new country.This country can learn various ways of thinking and wisdom from different races.So people here should be grateful to each other for enriching the life here.Whether Europeans or non-Europeans,they all have ever made contributions to this country,and they all Americans.Fortunately,in my eyes,racial discrimination will disappear sooner or later.It is the ability and knowledge but not where you come from or the colour of your skin that matters.

In my eyes,Americans are more brave, sometimes we call it "rash".This kind of character is a double-edge sword.On one hand,this brings them the ability of imagination and creation.They know much about how to fight for their rights and better conditions.On the other hand,I need more thinking.Most of us Chinese are lack of this kind of character.We have perseverance,tolerance and carefulness.But on the other side, we are obedient,humble and coward.I don't mean that Americans' character is perfect.Just draw the strong points of others to offset our weaknesses.
