This poster by John Malinoski won a silver medal in the Design for the Future International Poster Competition hosted by Guangzhou Design Week 2006, in China.
Design Center has recently designed the identity mark for The Children's Museum of Hampton Roads, VA. Design Center has been working on the mark since the Fall 06 semester.
There have been many sketches, hands, meetings, reviews, presentations and details discussed concerning this mark's course. The identity will assist the fledgling organization reach its goal of securing a building and program as it moves into a variety of fund and awareness raising campaigns.
Design Center has begun the next phase of the identity design process. Presently on the board (laptop) is the adaptation and application of the identity to various print, clothing and environmental uses.
Students in John Malinoski's sophomore section of Form and Communication have entered a competition to design a State of Virginia recycling license plate. Featured here are six solutions from the class. The competition deadline is April 20 and notification of winning entries will be announced on May 1 at a ceremony at the annual Virginia Recycling Association conference in Willliamsburg.
