This poster by John Malinoski won a silver medal in the Design for the Future International Poster Competition hosted by Guangzhou Design Week 2006, in China.
A revolution of design transformed Quirk's window on Thursday and Friday, 1 & 2 March. A team of GDES Design Center students merged visual art with performance art as their paintbrushes and stencils surprised and delighted an audience of gallery visitors.
With Quirk's window art installation, the students have started "a revolution of KIND design" campaigning for city improvements ranging from "better street lighting around the city" to "soy-based inks for local government printing" and "solar powered trolleys to run through Richmond."
