GDES students enter VA license plate design competition
Students in John Malinoski's sophomore section of Form and Communication have entered a competition to design a State of Virginia recycling license plate. Featured here are six solutions from the class. The competition deadline is April 20 and notification of winning entries will be announced on May 1 at a ceremony at the annual Virginia Recycling Association conference in Willliamsburg. Kristin Caskey (wife; VCUarts Department of Fashion Design & Merchandising), baroque fashionista, and John Malinoski (husband; GDES), suprematist dreamer designed and constructed this pull toy for the highest bidder at the annual Richmond Waldorf School Auction. The creature features a pelt composed of felted balls created by Waldorf kindergarteners, beautiful stitching and a skeleton composed of alley lumber. The auction proceeds benefit RWS.
