The VCU Center on Health Disparities presents "Building Cultural Competence: From Awareness to Skill Development" on Thursday, Sept. 18, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building, Room 104/105, as part of its Brown Bag Speaker Series on Health Disparities. Dr. Tatyana Thweatt will speak on developing an understanding of cultural competence.
