The VCU School of Pharmacy’s Research and Career Day and Graduate Alumni Reunion showcases our research and graduate program in the pharmaceutical sciences. It gives postdoctoral fellows, graduate and Pharm.D. students an opportunity to develop the skills and contacts needed to find jobs in academia, the pharmaceutical industry and government. Classes on career development, interviewing and writing a successful CV, a poster competition and meetings with government and industry scientists are available. Also, 1992 Pharm.D. alumna, Dr. Kellie S. Reynolds, of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will speak on “Trends and Innovations in Drug Development.”
This year, we are proud to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Graduate Alumni Reunion! Our alumni have the ideal background to contribute to the professional development of current graduate students. Alumni are encouraged to get to know our students in individual meetings, to participate in the poster session and to reunite with former classmates. Special guests at an evening reception will include current and emeritus faculty, as well as a graduate of the school’s first Ph.D. program.
