Clear has decided to crystallize our ongoing efforts to help travelers speed through airport security with a $500,000 “Clear Prize” – which will be awarded to the first team that can deploy security lane technology to speed throughput at Clear airports. For more information, please go to www.flyclear.com/innovation.

The announcement asks for a new technology, but I imagine using OR would be welcome as well (to win, you'll probably need to take a break from your The Netflix Prize algorithm). The rules will be announced at the launch event is on February 13, 2008 at the San Francisco International Airport (free lunch if you can make it). But if you don't have that kind of free time on your hands, I'm sure you can google the rules online after the launch event.
