Well today the lectures we had are all about politics. In fact I'm very interested in politics and I'm very much aware that the way we talk about politics in China is very different from the way they do and talk about politics in Western countries like US,Germany etc.I gotta go now.

I do not like your train of thought in the first paragraph because it seems as though you think there is no hope in life. What are you living for? Do you want to play a part in changing things or do you think that you cannot? I am reminded of watching "The Sopranos" final episodes and Tony Soprano's son was feeling like he could do nothing and he gave up on life thinking that there was too much trouble in the world. Having met you, I do not think that you are like that but again I read of no hope in that paragraph.

politics is everywhere in our life. on one can ever avoid politics if they want to get involved in this global society. that is the point that i disagree with the professor. she said some people are just indifferent to politics, so they simply do not care about it. this is stupid. they even do not realize that everything they do has something to do with politics.
it is good to have interest in politics in such a politicized society. stick to your interest and you are sure to get improvements.

Avoiding the bad events happening again is very important, which I absolutely agree with you, and it is why we should remember our past and refresh our points of view toward it with the time.:)

Yes, because of our absence, the whole "Tiananmen square" or "culture revolution"things are vague and superficial in our point of view.So there is no need to raise these issues again and again. As far as I'm concerned there were stupid mistakes our decision makers made in some turbulent years but don't we allow mistakes in decision making? And I strongly dislike some foreigners who don't even know China well commented on such things and associate them with human rights matters...

It's so difficult for me to talk about good politics, cause this is only utopia for me, especially here in Brazil... now facing the horrible air-transportation chaos (happening here), I agree with you even more when you say we, people, are ignorant and impotent. Mainly ignorant, I'd say, cause when everybody want something, we can do it... the problem is that people nowadays are getting less interested in politics, international affairs, etc... so, ignorance is only growing. Such a shame!
