It raises a social dilemma between the issue that which one of the economy style between planned economy and market economy is better for the market. Some argue planned economy is more useful than market economy because Former Soviet Union got great benefits from this economy form. Others claim that planned economy could be more helpful to the capitalism states. These statements both hit some points of importance. In my view, it depends on the certain financial circumstance of each state.

Admittedly, planned economy made great impacts to the Soviet Union during the World War II. In some cases, it was the key point that made the possibility for the Soviet Union to win the war at the end. Without planned economy, it was impossible for the Soviet Union developed their economy with such a high speed in 1970s. However, as a concave-and-convex sided nutshell, planned economy also brought negative effect. Disintegration of the former Soviet Union was one of the best examples.

On the contrary, market economy brings into play a major role with the development of America economy. It makes regular to the markets and directed the way of business and international trade. It is the origin source of power which pushes forward America economy constantly. Nevertheless, without planned economy, America economy probable finds out no way to pass though the great depress. Therefore, planned economy is an essential part to operate a healthy economy circumstance.

On the whole, both economy forms have got positive and negative effects. The thing what you have to do is to ensure which one plays the leading role in the market.

We have a great party at our dormitory tonight. About 10 people take part in the party. We just prepare things by ourselves. Such as buying the goods which we need from Ucrop’s and cooking them by our own hands. It takes us nearly two hours for preparing the dinner. We get several good-looking dishes on the table. Because of the two hours waiting, we just careless about whether dishes are delicious or not. Finally, we take everything and remain the plate on the table. We all feel satisfactory and comfortable with the party.

We have a lecture about America during the 20th century today. During the lecture we discuss the legacies of World War II in America. World War II has made great affects to the America in several aspects, such as economic problems, social conflicts. Among these influences, we can find out both positive and negative ones. However, it is undeniable that the benefits which America brought from World War II overweight much more than the loss which they got. There are many reasons can lead to this conclusion. One of the most important reasons is that the war did not happen on the territory of America. Therefore, America did not loss any infrastructures or facilities during the war in 1940s. On the contrary, most of the countries which were involved in the World War II almost remained nothing after the war. Their countries were broken; people who lived in the country could not support themselves with food or drink. They could not get health care because the medical system was totally destroyed by the invaders. In this case, those countries have to spend countless money and time in order to rebuild their homeland. Therefore, this is one of the significant reasons why America becomes the most powerful state over the world.

Time creates the hero, hero produces the time. Admittedly, our world needs a state to play a role as a hero to deal with the international affairs and balance the relationship among the other countries. Therefore, if the war were happened on the mainland of America, the world that we live in may get a great change and become far more different than the world which we are familiar with. Fortunately, such changes may not happen any more.

<![CDATA[We took a bus tour around Richmond on Tuesday. In addition to the history of Richmond, I was quite interested in the buildings which were built at the early stage of America. I found many different styles among these buildings, such as Baroque and Gothic. The building which was attracted me most was the Virginia Capitol. It was designed by an architect whose name was Thomas Jefferson. He was also the father of the University of Virginia. The building was based on classical Roman temple design. What was worth mentioning was that the six white columns on the south portico still contained the original pine tree center posts. A visitor to the capitol from France in 1796 said “this building is, beyond comparison, the finest, the most noble, and the greatest in all America.” As what was said by the visitor from France, this building was so great that it was not only remained the function of the building, but represented the aspiration of freedom of all the Americans.

I was told by our tour guide that most of these historic buildings were still be used as office buildings. In order to preserve these remarkable old buildings, people just utilized some parts of the building. Therefore it would not cause much damage to the structure.

<![CDATA[Our flight was taken off from pudong airport at about 1 p.m. on July 14 and reached Tokyo at 6 p.m. Because of delaying of the flight, we did not catch the flight which departed to the Chicago. Ultimately, we took nearly 48 hours to get to the VCU. It is really hard to find a word to describe the voyage which we had taken during these days. Fortunately, however, we arrived at VCU at the end without any accidents else except one day later. The most important thing I learn from this tough journey is how to deal with emergency effectively and how to struggle for our rights.

I always hold the idea that if we paid for what we want to the company, the company should guarantee the rights which we have. In fact, it is totally far from the truth. For instance, after we have spent a large amount of money to the airline, should we still be responsible for the delay of the flight? Although the answer is simple, we still find powerless to ask for the compensation from the airline when the accident just like the delaying of flight happened. Therefore, the only way that we have is to claim to the rights which belong to the guests constantly. That is the key to remain your loss at a low level.
