Communications Specialist
Duties
1. Participates in the development, and directs the implementation, of strategic plan activities designed to meet the goals of the organization.
2. Prepares written, verbal and published presentations that increase public knowledge in the areas of early childhood development and domestic and sexual violence; raise awareness of the programs and services we offer to address community needs; educate existing and potential donors/funders as to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and its programs; and enhance the YWCA's reputation as the premier organization serving young children and families experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault whikle integrating the YWCA brand.
4. When appropriate, serve as a liaison between the media and the YWCA and represents the organization during appropriate community events and meetings.
