Intern Responsibilities
Interns will shadow both Promotions Manager and Station Manager in their day to day duties assisting in the creation of promotions and special events. Production interns will work hand-in-hand with the promotions manager to create Disney branded on-air commercials, promos, and PSAs.

Here’s a chance to get great, hands-on experience working for one of the City’s largest and
busiest departments. The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining City infrastructure
including traffic engineering, roadway maintenance, Animal Care and Control, graffiti
removal and much more.

One paid intership position is available to a qualified candidate who is eager to learn and available
to work at least 10 to 20 hours a week. The selected undergraduate candidate will earn

Public Relations Internship
Description:

New Founders Press is committed to educating and informing the public about positive public policy through the creation, publication and distribution of all forms of media, for adults and children, including scholarly works, non-fiction and fiction.

With the launching of New Founders Press, we are looking for an intern to assist in a major international marketing promotion of our first publication, the novel, Destiny Unveiled. The promotion will include implementing a marketing plan targeting a wide variety of media and retail outlets.

Sylvia Clute, the author of Destiny Unveiled, holds an MA in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, an MA in Public Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado.

Duties of Public Relations Intern:

1. assisting with research of target markets within these categories – newspapers, print and web magazines, libraries, bookstores, talk show hosts, trade shows and other sources.
2. assisting with mailing list database entry and distribution of press releases to the identified target markets, and with the production of promotional materials, including a press kit.
3. assisting with maintaining files of press coverage achieved.

Qualifications applicants should possess:

1. Computer skills – preferably comfortable with Macintosh and select graphics programs.
2. Eagerness to be immersed in the fast paced, multi-faceted Public Relations business.
3. Understanding and appreciation of industry requirements, in order to achieve successful Public Relations campaigns, such as providing editors with appropriate/timely materials and meeting deadlines.
