Created in 1999 by the Virginia General Assembly, the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation (VTSF) oversees the Commonwealth of Virginia’s official youth tobacco-use prevention efforts. PAID Print Journalism/Photography And Video Production

Intern Description: During a 12 week-paid internship in our Communications Department, interns get hands-on experience in the fields of video production and public relations writing.

Writing interns work on articles for Farm Bureau News, the organization’s member magazine, which reaches more than 140,000 households 10 times a year. They also write news releases as needed and prepare short news articles for a weekly dispatch to Farm Bureau’s media contacts across Virginia.

Video interns assist in the production of “Down Home Virginia,� Farm Bureau’s monthly television program that airs on more than 40 cable and other television stations around the state

Communications internships will involve some day travel, as well as the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. An agricultural background is not required; a willingness to learn and to take on real-world work responsibilities is key.

Finally, the incumbent will maintain the FRIT officer directory and will support the FRIT employee events planning teams.
