Thank you for your interest in the ABC7 Career Opportunity Program (COP).

COP seeks to provide a springboard for new talent and an opportunity to develop abilities which foster the constant revitalization of the broadcast profession.

As part of our commitment to community service and educational enrichment, ABC-7 offers COP which is designed to benefit college students interested in developing careers in all phases of broadcast television. COP will afford on-the-job training to participants currently enrolled institutions of higher learning by allowing students to gain practical work experience in a television station's day-to-day operations as a supplement to their academic curriculum.

We have a limited number of internships available for college juniors and seniors in a four- year undergraduate program. You may also be a student entering your second year in a two-year junior or community college program. Interns will be assigned to a single department within ABC-7 under the direct supervision of station employees. Interns will be assigned various tasks, or projects in conjunction with the work for staion employees. Administrative, clerical or secretarial duties unrelated to the subject area in which they are interning will not be assigned to the interns.

Participants must major in communications, journalism, broadcast production techniques, business administration or some field having a direct relationship to broadcasting.

All internships are non-paid and non-technical in nature. Students must receive academic credit for the internship.
