Internship - Euro RSCG Worldwide

Euro RSCG Worldwide is the fifth-world’s largest global agency and has 233 offices around the world. Euro RSCG is an integrated communications company that concentrates on marketing, advertising and public relations. It is also the largest division of Havas, the world’s sixth largest communications group. Euro RSCG Discovery, the Glen Allen office, handles accounts for many impressive clients. Discovery provides data strategy development and oversees client’s relationship marketing.

Responsibility of Interns:

• Acquisition support responsibilities will include order fulfillment and confirmation, phone and/or email follow-up and project organization
• Provide database management support including data entry and generating reports
• Monitor competitors and competitive landscape
• Work on files whether it is proofing, making changes or preparing files for client


Qualifications applicants should possess:

• At least Junior (3rd year) standing
• Overall university grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0
• We prefer a student working towards a degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, finance or public relations
• Good organizational skills, excellent customer service, dependable and experience with computers is helpful
• Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Lotus Notes skills

Internship Opportunity - C-VILLE Weekely

Internship Description: C-VILLE Weekly, for 19 years Charlottesville's leading alt weekly covering news, arts & living, seeks self-starting, wise-cracking interns who combine a love of publishing and journalism with a appreciation for life's little absurdities. Interns work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week for at least 10-12 weeks. This position is unpaid. Interns are assigned to one of three sections, depending on interest, aptitude and need. Those sections are News, Arts, and Service or Special Sections (shelter, fashion, tourism).

Intern duties/responsibilities: Interns are expected to perform numerous editorial duties, including but not limited to research, archiving, and, depending on talent and proven fact-checking abilities, writing. Interns report directly to section editors. Whiners, posers, shirkers, and brown-nosers need not apply.
