DuPont Internship

Communications Internship Responsibilities

o Draft press releases related to DuPont-Spruance site accomplishments and community outreach activities
o Draft Network News items (corporate intranet posting)
o Draft site-wide electronic communications
o Draft / post updates for Spruance Information Center (Spruance InfoBase home page)
o Assist with production of Spruance Update videos, safety videos, etc.
o Work with DuPont Production System (DPS) Communication Team to draft / design / post articles, e-mails, PowerPoint slides and posters related to communication of DPS initiatives
o Attend site functions with Lisa Randall / help with setup and photographs as needed
o Attend community outreach events with Lisa Randall / assist with booth setup and engagement with public / photos as needed
o Communicate by phone and email with community organizations to set up employee volunteer opportunities and follow up on community support requests

Hours: 10-20 per week; can be flexible... but would want to know the standard blocks of time intern is available to work. Occasional evening and weekend activities if work agreement allows for this. During day hours, work would be during hours of 1-4 Monday, 9-4 Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-12 Thursday, and 9-4 Friday (dependent on intern's time availability).

Would be working under the supervision and direction of Lisa Randall, and also Reema Badr, DPS Communication Team Leader
