Account Executive

Job Description
CRA is seeking a talented individual to join its public relations team. The new account executive will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of various public relations accounts out of the company’s Richmond office. Responsibilities will include statewide media relations; working with an integrated team to create and implement the best strategies for client results; writing news releases, media alerts, Web site copy, etc.; media and client research and providing knowledgeable status reports and updates to clients and team. Some travel will be required.

Required Experience
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing communications or a related field; two to three years of agency experience; strong writing skills; a good understanding of how the various communications disciplines work together for results; and be a team player excited to grow with the company. Director of Public Relations and Marketing

Job Description
The Valentine Richmond History Center seeks a dynamic individual to direct its public relations and marketing program. This person is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive program that includes print and electronic communications, media relations, marketing, advertising, website management and community outreach including developing and coordinating special events and activities aimed at promoting the History Center to the general public.

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, mass communications, or marketing; 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Excellent written and oral communications skills with experience in writing, designing and editing marketing and/or public relations pieces. Attention to detail and organization and project management experience is critical. Computer competency, budget management experience, the ability to work independently and as part of a team are important.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
