The Connect Richmond Program Specialist

The Connect Richmond Program Specialist is a full-time position and has two primary responsibilities: coordinating the daily operations of the flagship property, Connect Richmond, and coordinating technology, content development and information access among Connect replication sites. The position will assist with resource development, managing online communications, marketing/public relations, new product development and other activities to build the Connect Network. This position is an expert in the basic operations of the
communications network - how to join the email list and enter organizational profiles, calendar entries and jobs. Works with the technology contractor to develop the content management system and troubleshoot problems, and provides users the highest quality customer service possible. The position researches and drafts the weekly e-newsletter, identifies content for the Web site, trains email list moderators and helps with daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree. Technical knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Some familiarity/practical knowledge of content management systems, Internet technologies/protocols, and a publications/design program a plus. Strong writing with excellent copyediting and proofreading skills. Experience in VCU setting preferred. Ability to manage critical ongoing projects with efficiency and creativity and with an eye for continuous improvement. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under multiple deadlines. Strong customer service.

SALARY:
$30,000-35,000 depending upon experience
