Can you design pages that are clean and compelling? Can you write headlines that draw readers into a story? Can you make sound decisions on story and photo play? If so, we're looking for you. Virginia’s best small daily is seeking a copy editor with strong headline writing and copy editing skills; a sound grasp of AP style; familiarity with Quark and Photoshop; and the ability to perform under deadline pressure.

The Daily holds seven consecutive Sweepstakes awards from the Virginia Press Association. That success has opened doors for many of our staffers at mid-size and metro publications.

The family-owned paper covers the beautiful Northern Shenandoah Valley, just a short distance from Washington, D.C.

Send your résumé and your best work samples to bwooten@nvdaily.com or The Northern Virginia Daily c/o Bob Wooten, Managing Editor 152 N. Holliday St. Strasburg Virginia, 22657. E-mail applications to bwooten@nvdaily.com .
