WVEC has an opening for a Full Time Master Control Operator. Candidates must have experience in the following areas:

*Master Control Switching - Operate MC switcher and Louth automation, keep program and transmitter log; file discrepancy reports as needed; monitor outgoing program feeds WVEC-TV and WVEC-DT.

*Master Control Video - Operate camera control units (CCU) for adjustment of proper video levels. Observe waveform monitor to determine correct video level and other video signal parameters. Report problems to Engineering.

*Satellite Receive Operation and Recording - Operate satellite antenna/receiver controls for acquisition of programs, news, and interstitial feeds. Operate videotape recorders and video servers for recording and playback of material. Monitor feeds and recordings for quality assurance.

*Videotape Playback for News Programming - Operate videotape playback equipment for live news telecasts. Follow news rundown, load and cue tapes, follow instructions from director and producer. Report problems to director.

Prefer candidates with two years experience in television master control operation. Position requires holding or obtaining SBE Television Operator Certification. Position requires working nights and weekends and will occasionally require working overtime.
Position reports to the Master Control Operations Supervisor.

The Hamptons Road market seeks an individual that can work closely with an energetic, award winning news team. This person should be aggressive in learning and executing strong promotions for daily news stories, community projects, client products, and image campaigns.

Successful applicant must demonstrate strong organizational skills and effective, direct communication skills. Applicants must also have knowledge of television production techniques, strong copy-writing skills, and able to articulate direction to talent.

Requirements:
