Podcasts in Museums & Education

Some of the readings really got me thinking about the idea of how to use a podcast technology and have the content not be the old fashioned didactic art history voice of authority. How can this technology of Web 2.0 be used in meaningful ways in museums. How does this challenge the status quo of who can tell the stories of objects? How much do museums need to "protect" the stories of objects so that they remain venerated. If objects are not important and everyone can tell their own stories about them, do we really need museums?

But, I love museums and think they are important and educational. This is a tension that I will need to investigate further.
