Alison Coleman Article

In Alison Coleman's article, she mentions numerous web and/or Internet artists. Whose work did you find the most compelling and why? Is this a new type of art for you? What are your previous experiences with web and Internet art?

I am interested in webart but I wonder if it is accessible to our students. If they struggle with understanding things like pop art as art, then how will they handle something that doesn't even really exist outside of cyberspace? Maybe they will accept this more readily than any object. Or maybe they will not see it as different from what they study in art history class. I saw in undergrad a big rift between what the modernist professors were willing to consider art and what the students steeped in postmodern (biocybernetic?) culture thought of as art.
