Kruger- Great discussion and analysis of her piece! I liked the conversational tone and the comments on how this piece conveys the point of view that one gender should not be viewed as weaker than the other. I also liked the way you brought in her advertising background and how this influences her work to read like advertising signs in our society, encouraging us to think about what we see instead of passively absorbing the information.
Courbet- Nice description of the painting and its use of colors to create a particular mood, in this case feelings of isolation. I liked how you mentioned that perhaps he changed the landscape he saw to produce these feelings.
Both of your podcast last the perfect amount of time to maintain the listener's interest. Nice work!

I only had a chance to listen to the Barbara Krueger one and I really enjoyed it. Nice job addressing both this image and the source image.

Good analogy of the themes in Kruger's work. Do you think her use of Norman Rockwell's image is a copyright infringement?
