NAEA 2008

At the conference, there were a number of sessions on Web 2.0 that were presented by Craig Roland, Li-fen Lilly Lu, Bob Sweeny, and others. I'm wondering how this may affect our field and change and challenge it for years to come. How far off is the semantic web? Should we concern ourselves too much with Web 2.0 if we know that 3.0 is already emerging? How could the semantic web relate to art education? How might this affect our interpretation and understanding of art? Could it bring semantics to the forefront of art education?
