The Virginia Commonwealth University Staff Senate held the 7th Annual Virginia's Caring University scholarship award ceremony on Sept. 16, 2011. The 2011 recipients are Katherine Cascio (mass communications), Karl Daman (computer engineering), Sabrina Hise (history), Stephanie Law (liberal studies for early and elementary education), Katie Mitchell (forensic science), Colton Raposa (business), Aimee Reyes (nursing), Di'Mond Spencer (criminal justice), and Julie Ward (English).
