Half of my assistantship at VCU is to help Mass Communications with alumni development activities (the other half is to teach Public Relations). So far my job mainly includes designing newsletters, postcards, posters and PowerPoint presentations. I really like it, I just wish that I had more time to spend on each project. I'm beginning to learn that lack of time is a problem associated with everything in a Ph.D. program.
