Blog Classes have been scheduled for 2007:

February 6, 2007: 1:00pm-3:00pm - MCV Campus
March 9, 2007: 9:00am-11:00am - Monroe Park Campus

These classes will go over the basics of setting up and adding content to your blog.

Learning Objectives:

* Create a Blog.
* Add an entry to the Blog.
* Add an image to the Blog.
* Edit the Blog entry.
* Enable and control comments from readers.
* Customize your Blog interface.
* Apply a template stylesheet to the Blog.
* Incorporate a Blog into your homepage.

Two blog classes have been scheduled for the Fall Semester:

Sptember 28, 2006 9:00am-11:00am - Sanger Hall B1-20
November 15, 2006 1:00pm-3:00pm - Cabell Library 320

A Blog is an online journal listed in chronological order and posted on the Web for public viewing. Typically Blogs are updated daily and provide the author an easy interface to post information. Some Blogs allow readers to add their comments to the posting, only if the feature is enabled. This workshop will show you how to setup and maintain a Blog.

* Create a Blog.
* Add an entry to the Blog.
* Add an image to the Blog.
* Edit the Blog entry.
* Enable and control comments from readers.
* Customize your Blog interface.
* Apply a template stylesheet to the Blog.

There are a couple new Blog Classes that will be offered to help people ajust to the new Blog or help new people learn about blogging.

Monroe Park Campus:
Feb. 7th at 1pm
Apr. 18th at 9am

MCV Campus:
Mar. 27th at 9am

I am also available to come to your class or department to give special instruction if you want to get your students or employees blogging.

If you have always wanted to try blogging, but had no idea how to get started then you should sign up for one of our blog classes. They will be taught in computer labs so that we can help you set up your blog and answer any questions you might have.

The dates for the classes are:
Cabell Library: March 23, 2005 10am-12pm
Tompkins-McCaw Library: April 7, 2005 1pm-3pm
