E-Mail Services is working to bring Oak3 back on-line. Notes client users should automatically fail over to their alternate server, Aspen3. IMAP users should connect to their alternate server, Aspen3. For additional assistance, please contact the Technology Services Helpdesk at 828-2227.

Scheduled maintenance will be performed on the E-mail system Saturday, April 21, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. During this maintenance window, access to e-mail may be unavailable on your primary server. Access to your e-mail via your alternate server should be available automatically when accessing through VCU Mail Anywhere, or via your alternate server using an IMAP connection or the Notes client.
E-mail and calendar items are now being delivered to VCU enterprise Blackberry devices.
Earlier today, Research in Motion (RIM) reported a massive system wide failure of the BlackBerry network in the Western Hemisphere that affected users across the United States late last night.
Service has been restored across the national Blackberry system and network. Mail delivery times should return to normal according to RIM. The Blackberry Support Team is investigating the root cause of the outage and will monitor their network throughout the day.
On Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 6:00am to 6:30am, Technology Services staff will be applying updates to the portal software to improve the stability and availability of the system. The portal will be unavailable during this time.
The eIDManager will be unavailable from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6, due to maintenance. During this maintenance window users can still use their eID to login to VCU resources such as Blackboard, myVCU portal, and library tools but users will be unable to change their password during this time. Please contact the Help Desk at 828-2227 with any questions.
