UPDATE 3 (10/13/08 at 10:50 a.m.): Wireless Network Connection Issue

UPDATE 3: All VCU wireless access points are now online. Thanks for your patience. Please contact the VCU Help Desk (828-2227, help@vcu.edu) if you continue to experience wireless access problems.

Update 2: All but about 15 to 20 wireless access points have been moved to another module and are functioning. Network Services staff is working to bring these remaining offline access points online. They are scattered all over campus so no one facility is affected. If you find that you do not have wireless access where you normally would you might move around to find a signal from another access point.

Update 1: The primary affected area is not Snead Hall but rather the new Cary & Belvidere residence hall behind Snead Hall. The module that was causing the problem has been bypassed and connections should be working at this time.

Another issue affecting wireless network connections has been identified and also is being worked on at this time by Network Services staff. Some campus community members in some locations around campus will not be able to connect to wireless network access points. Some of these access points are expected to be restored momentarily but others may take longer.

Please contact the VCU Help Desk (828-2227, help@vcu.edu) to report any additional systems or access problems.
