         <title>VCU Student Email in myVCU</title>

         <title>VCU iTunes University - now over 600 podcasts</title>
         <description><![CDATA[There are now over 600 podcasts available for download on VCU iTunes University.&nbsp; The URL is <a href="http://itunes.vcu.edu/">http://itunes.vcu.edu</a>. &nbsp; There are nearly 100 publicly available podcasts from VCU Athletics, VCU TV/HD, VCU Libraries and many more. &nbsp; There are over 500 podcasts requiring one to log in with their VCU eID from almost every college and school within the University.&nbsp;&nbsp; If you have never listened to a VCU podcast, now is a great time to begin.<br />]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[For the 1 month period from Aug 17th to Sep 16th, there were 1.25 million logins <br />
for the new myVCU portal which represents an average of 40,218 logins per day.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<div>The single highest day of 74,531 occurred on Aug 20th, the first day of class. </div>]]></description>

         <title>PHPmyFAQ service discontinued</title>
         <description><![CDATA[The PHPmyFAQ application has been used for the past few years to support Blackboard and&nbsp; Technology Service (TS) Help Desk Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). &nbsp; With the design of the new TS web site, these FAQs along with many other sets of FAQs have been integrated into the Knowledge Base section of the new TS web site. &nbsp; Hence, the PHPmyFAQ application has been removed from service. ]]></description>

         <title>VCU Federal Work Study Jobs application is live</title>
         <description><![CDATA[After 10 years, the VCU Federal Work Study Jobs application was completely rewritten and went live on Monday August 10, 2009. &nbsp; The new version allows students to create online portfolio's and to apply for a position with a single click of a button.&nbsp; Employer can manage all of their posted positions including editing and archiving.&nbsp; They receive email notification when someone applies for one of their positions and they can review each applicant's portfolio online.&nbsp; To view the new application, please go to URL:&nbsp; <a href="http://www.fwsjobs.vcu.edu/">http://www.fwsjobs.vcu.edu</a>. ]]></description>

         <title>The new myVCU Portal is now live.</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 2004, we introduced the first myVCU Portal&nbsp;to the University. On
August 6, 2009, we updated to a new myVCU Portal. While much is the
same, there are some significant differences and enhancements,
including: </p>
<ul>
<li>The myVCU Portal now consists of two portals: Standard and Custom </li>
<li>The tabs are now the same for all members of the VCU community </li>
<li>Many of the Gadgets have been improved </li>
<li>eServices was relocated </li><li>Many new features are available for customization&nbsp; </li>
<li>The myVCU Portal utilizes the VCU Central Authentication Systems (CAS) for login</li>
</ul>
<p>You may now log into the new <a href="http://portal.vcu.edu/">myVCU Portal</a>.</p> ]]></description>
