Pie from the sky

lol, that is very interesting. A person always comes here and says sth to me. Guess what? All the stuff are greeting words. But, Pie from the sky, can you let me know if you are from BFSU??? Thanks very much. I really to get to know who you are! Do not play this hide-and-seek game with me okay? You want me to be fine, right? If so, let me get some clues from you! I bet you know me well, or at least, you are from Fudan or BFSU,otherwise you cannot know my birthday! But i think you are not from this summer class, coz you said take care of yourself there, it means you are in China all the time, or say, you didnt go to the States! Hmm, if so, who you are. Men do not like this game, so maybe you are a lady, but a kind and polite one. And what is more, the one whose english is very good...

Haha, really a big surprising pie from the sky!!!LOL

Blue

Since i made it back safely and sound, i have been getting blue and blue. I am missing all the people and things i came across in the States, esp the interns!!! Hopefully, i can manage to go back the US next year and stop by my friends there soon.

The sun is shining, my tears are shining in the sunshine. Be a man! It is a small world, we can get together in the near future, cannot we?

May God bless the world, may God bless the friendship.

Shrek 3

Last night, we started off at 9 sharp watchin' the movie-----Shrek 3, which is a big hit. Actually, the story, from my prespective, decribes a war between the Good----Shrek along with the new king of Far Far Away and the Evil. Luckily, as i expected, the winner in the end is the Good. The movie, on the whole, is very interesting and enlightening. The most impressive sentence in it, for my part, is " Everyone maybe a looser, but you should not always think about what others think about you. Just be yourself and stand in your own position." This saying( by Shrek) is similar to the Chinese ancient Philosophers's thought. Aye, pretty nice. Thanks for the interns for taking us there!

May God bless America and May God bless the world.

Paper

Today, i spent almost half day reading through 20 fat books as referrences for my mere 4-page paper!!! Pretty busy day, but busy is better than boredom! I am very delighted that i complished my paper this early afternoon. Okay, tomorrow, pack all the things up and say good bye to GRC, VCU. Actually, when i leave place in which i stay for a while, i always feel very sad when i leave there, so does GRC. Hopefully, someday, i can visit here again and meet all my friends here!!!

Basketball Match

This afternoon, we had a basketball match. Hey! Attention, please. This was a match, not the game i always play every afternoon here. I was bonded with two fudan guys and an american 'beanpole'( actually, he is tall and kinda strong, pretty nice center here). At the beginnin' of the match, i was so sleepy that i missed the 1st ball i shot. Dammit, Chinese Michael Jordan should not have done like this. So i cheered up and played seriously later on. You know what was going on then, i threw all the balls into the basket, lol. Finally, our team won in the end of the 4th quater. Great team work!

Sort of boring diary this time, i feel a bit hot now, gotta grab a meal. ( i am waiting for your commentsLOL! although i cannot guess who you are!) Oh yea, anyone wants to leave comments here plz leave your real name. Thank you!

Pretty good day

Today, i had another pretty good day. I had courses of liberal arts, such as painting and Jazz. Although i am rookie of those stuff, i enjoyed them very much! I was amazed at the painter this early morning, he is so skillful that he can draw the pic meanwhile think questions and discuss with you! As for the jazz lesson, actually, i consider it as a concert. The musicians played so well that i felt on the cloud nine, lol. They are so humorous and passionate! lol Between these two courses, i stood a chance of goin' to the vietnam restaurant. The food there is pretty pretty yummy. I ate the rice with BBQ pork, roast shrimp, fresh vegetables, etc, etc. You know what? Since i came to VCU, this was the 1st time i got the chance to eat the sea food!!! My LOVELY SEA FOOD,hmmm.........

Ps, WHO IS "LOL" THAT LEAVES COMMENTS WITHOUT REAL NAME>>>??? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO IS THAT,THANKS!

Downtown

This afternoon, we went to the so-called downtown. The first glance of it, reminded me of the so-called golden street in Beijing. The deeper i explored the downtown, the worse i thought it was. But luckily that i found a bookstore selling the 1 buck book. I picked out two among them and bought. I bet i will have sth to do at night. Personally, reading book at the table in the peaceful historic town when the moon is hanging in the starry sky is sort of romantic thing, isnt it? I really love the life in the US now.

Home Visist on Saturday

Last Sat., Brian drove us to his cousin's. That was really a good day there. His cousin, although it was the first time for him to meet us, he treated us so well that let me feel i was at home then. Surely, his wife and his two adorable sons were friendly and polite to us,too. Actually, this home visit,a least for me, was the first time to expose myself to the real American life, 'cause since i landed in the US, i spent all the time on compus, not getting the whole image and deep understanding of American life. Anyway, it was really a golden chance to do the home visit.

Funny that i was dreaming to own a house in the US in the near future after stopping by Brian's cousin's that day.......Hopefully................

Jersey Mike's

After playing basketball this afternoon, i explored the Broad Street on compus. Fooling around for a while, i stepped into a fast food restaurant, which is called "Jersey Mike's". Guess what? To my surprise, the food there is very yummy, the taste of the cheese steak is almost the same as the taste of Yoshinoya's beef in Beijing!!! Tasting it, i felt i am at home, lol. After grabbing the steak, i started to chat with the chef there, since i am the only customer then! The chef proudly introduced the history of the restaurant------Jersey Mike's. It all started in 1956 at the Jersey Shore with a single neiborhood shop dedicated to serving authentic subs. Today, the authentic taste is available nationwide. Gee! How does make it!? Later on, the talktive chef told me the secret. I got it that everything about the restaurant is HIGH QUALITY. The certified Angus Beff top rounds are trimmed and cooked right in the store. The meat and cheeses there are all top-quality premium brands. Also, the bread there is fresh-baked each day on the premises, let alone everything is prepared right in front of the costomers!!! Yup, i guess it is what makes Jersey Mike's the most authentic tasting submarine sandwich available. Pretty good talk just now, eye-opened!

Big Breakfast

This early morning, me-----the early bird------rushed to the dinning center which stands opposite the Hibbs building. John tells me the breakfast there is very worthy, so i accept his advice and i went there. Wow, compared with the damned breakfast in Beijing Foreign Studies Univ., the food here is very abundant. There are a flood of make-your-mouth-water beverages, vegetables, snacks, flavors offering to the students. Oh, V! it can absolutely satisfy my stomach. In fact, it turned out that i did have a very yummy breakfast today. America is cool. In almost all dimensions of the life, the US does deed in the service of its citizens. China, or say, Chinese government, your motto is" to be the servant of the people". Well, regarding the US as a mirror, do you really carry on your so-called adage/aim??? Step on it, learn from the advanced things and to get yourself better off!

Ping Pang Game

Some of my friends tell me "hey, man, i have been tired of your academiclike blog all the time, can you change a little bit?" Hmm, i am sorry about that, okay, let me do some changes.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a ping pang match. Luckily, i jumped the hoops and got the first place in the rank.lol. This morning, Erick sent me a red T-shirt of VCU. I appreciate pretty much. Hereby, i am expressing my bunch of thanks to him and other interns. Up till now, i have gradually experienced the real American life and i have started to love the time i spent with all the interns and my fellow students here surely include the fudan students. In fact, i dont like shanghai people vey much originally, maybe this is my bias. When i get more time with them, a o, i discover that actually they are nice. No one is perfect, so i must learn to be tolerant. Life is colorful and beautiful, why not look at all the stuff from the good perspective?(a bit idealist, huh? whatever, actually it is true that world is good)

Let's continue to enjoy the life here. Cool~~~~

Politics

Hmm, it finally comes to the topics in terms of Politics. Since my major is diplomacy, i am happy i stand a chance to learn politics in the US undergraduate school. Today's morning, prof. mainly talked about three things: what Politics really is, what is democracy and some political terminology. The most impressive stuff for me was the discussion on the term Nation. It reminds me of many political theories launched by several political scientists such as Alexander Wendt, Hans morgenthau and so on. I argue that within the territories of nations, because people share the same languages, same values, same culture,or say, the same role identity, then it will cause Clash of Nation which is similar to the Clash of Civilization. Well, the assertion , up till now, is still uncertain, maybe i will discuss with Doc Newmann morrow more deeply. Anyway, the lecture was really good! Look forward to the next lecture on IR, lol. Good dream first!
